Accordance 9 is a worthy upgrade of one of the leading Bible Software programs on the market. It introduces welcome new features and improvements. I am especially excited to see support for syntactical databases and a revamped Search All interface. While there is definitely some room for improvement, OakTree has once again delivered on its commitment to producing the best Bible Study software on the market. Certainly, academic users and those who want to focus on the primary texts will not be better served by any other product.
The commitment to quality means a steep price tag but even, in this regard, OakTree has taken some decisive steps to help prospective buyers. Entry-level bundles are often cheaper than the competition, though naturally they also come with fewer resources. OakTree frequently offers sales on its products and, unlike other Bible Software companies, allows users to upgrade to new versions through a minimal upgrade of the software engine. Many competitors require users to buy new packages with additional resources that you may not want. There are also payment plans and discounts for students, faculty, ministers, overseas missionaries, and members of the Christian Macintosh Users Group.
Without hesitation, I can continue to recommend Accordance Bible Software. It remains an outstanding product!
